William R. Seed
William R. (Bill) Seed is the senior vice president of facilities design and construction at Jackson Health Systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Akron.
Before joining Jackson Health Systems, Bill was staff vice president, design and construction, at Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS). He is a leader in lean and integrated project delivery, and accomplishes outstanding results by building multidiscipline and organization project teams, often including competitors, and then setting goals that would be unachievable with traditional practices. Bill delivers a powerful message for lean construction when he speaks to the industry at large and to those who already are involved in lean and integrated project delivery. He has made presentations to clients of real estate and law firms as well as to insurance companies, industry professional associations, and hospital engineers. He is the 2012 recipient of the Pioneer Award from the Lean Construction Institute for his exemplary leadership.
Bill and Paula have been married for 24 years and recently moved from the Philadelphia area to Florida, where sons William Jr. and Michael both attend the University of South Florida. The family enjoys hiking, particularly in the West.
