Walker Lee Evey
Walker Lee Evey is the retired president of the Design-Build Institute of America. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in special education from the University of South Florida and a master’s in business management from Florida Institute of Technology. He was previously program manager for the Pentagon Renovation Program. He was also senior vice president of 3D/International and served as senior advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Housing and Construction.
Early in his Federal service, Lee held several positions with NASA and was associate deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Air Force for contracting. He is a member of numerous associations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), and Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). Among his many honors, he received the Presidential Distinguished Executive Rank Award.
Lee and Virginia (G.G.) have been married for 35 years and have three children. Katherine graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and is an artist and mother of two. Jeffrey has degrees in physics and materials engineering and works at Intel. Caroline has a degree in psychology and is with CDM. Lee is currently writing a novel on the disappearance of the Confederate gold after the Civil War.
