Thomas Farrell
Thomas (Tom) Farrell is a Partner at Cove Property Group. Before Cove, Tom was a Senior Managing Director with Tishman Speyer where he was a key member of that firm for over 20 years. During his tenure at TS he played a key role as head of its Design and Construction group overseeing some of its most prestigious projects across the globe. He has a wealth of domestic and international project experience. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College, where he serves on the board of trustees.
He joined Olympia & York (O&Y) in 1985 as a project manager working on the Merrill Lynch headquarters at the World Financial Center. In 1989 in London, he served as project director for the design and construction for Phase 2 of the Canary Wharf project. In Mexico City from 1994-95, he worked on the Torre Mayor project and also served as project director for the Santa Fe project. Joining Tishman Speyer in 1995, he played a lead role in several of the firm’s New York projects over a 20-year period. He also was pivotal in the company’s entrance into Brazil, where he helped to change how commercial buildings are developed there. His experience also includes work on Nike’s Asia headquarters in Shanghai, the Waverock project in Hyderabad, India, and the Opernturm in Frankfurt, Germany.
Tom serves as vice chair of the ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York and sits on the advisory board of New Ground, which provides support services for the homeless. He is past board member and treasurer of the New York Building Congress. Tom is a Licensed Professional Engineer.
