Shirley S. Tucker
Shirley Tucker is retired from Tucker & Tucker consultants, where she served as president. She holds three degrees in math: a bachelor of science from The University of Texas at Austin, a master of science from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a PhD from Texas Christian University.
While working on productivity problems for a major Texaco project in Wales, it became clear that good communications and teamwork were keys to success. She then pioneered and led organizational and project alignment and behavior modification efforts that contributed heavily to that and many other successful projects.
Shirley and her husband, Richard Tucker, later formed Tucker & Tucker Consultants. The company focused on productivity issues on large industrial projects. She also developed team building and communication techniques particularly appropriate to construction. She has consulted with more than 50 leading companies and organizations and has lectured in Europe, South Africa, India, Australia, China, and Japan.
