Sandra Benson is widely recognized for her leading domain expertise, thought leadership, and an industry recognizable brand to the entire built environment. She has a solid reputation as a progressive force in construction. Currently, she serves as vice president of government relations and strategic partnerships at Procore Technologies. Prior to Procore, Sandra served as the worldwide head of engineering, construction, and real estate at Amazon Web Services. She has international experience in the construction and building technology industry. Prior executive leadership roles beyond her tenure at Amazon include serving as CIO at a multi-billion dollar global construction company and as the global industry director of engineering and construction at Oracle. Sandra is a passionate advocate for women’s leadership and recently received the United Nations Women’s Forum Award. She is an officer and member of the board of the National Institute of Building Sciences. She played a crucial role in the launch of the U.S. National Building Information Management (BIM) Standard. In addition to her position with NIBS, she is a member of VIATechnik Board of Advisors.
