SawTeen See is President of See Robertson Structural Engineers (2018-present). Prior to this she was Managing Partner at Leslie E. Robertson Associates where she worked from 1978-2017. She earned her bachelor's and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Cornell University.
A pioneer in the field of tall buildings, she led the structural engineering design of the 555-meter (m) Lotte World Tower in Seoul, Korea. Her next tallest building, the 679-m Merdeka 118 Tower, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is the world's second tallest building. She was partner-in-charge of the Shanghai World Financial Center, and peer-reviewed two 530-m tall buildings in China and several others over 400-m tall. She has designed many museums, educational buildings, convention centers, and pedestrian bridges, including the NASCAR Hall of Fame & Museum in Charlotte, NC, the National Constitution Center and the Temple University Library in Philadelphia, the AIG Pedestrian Bridge in Hong Kong, and the Suzhou landscaped pedestrian bridges in Suzhou, China.
A Professional Engineer and a Distinguished Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, SawTeen is a board member of the Skyscraper Museum in New York; serves as External Reviewer of the structural engineering program at the University of Limerick, Ireland; and is a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, UK.
