Sergio (Satch) Pecori
Satch Pecori is chairman and CEO of Hanson Professional Services, Inc., in Springfield, IL. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He currently serves as chairman of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
He joined Hanson after college in the mid-1970s as a field engineer. As president of the firm for the past 20 years, he has led the company to its most recent recognition as a Top 500 Design Firm by ENR. During his more than four-decade career, he has worked tirelessly to address priorities such as infrastructure funding, risk management, and the impact of automation and new forms of contracting on the industry and on business. Satch has managed and designed numerous complex projects both domestically and internationally, and is highly regarded in the technical field.
He is a member of the executive committee of the Design Professionals Coalition and serves as DPC secretary/treasurer. In 2015, he received the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service. He is a strong advocate for developing educational opportunities for young people and emphasizes community service and involvement at Hanson.
