Sabrina Kanner
Sabrina Kanner is executive vice president, design and construction, for Brookfield Properties, where she oversees the firm’s design and construction in the U.S. She is a cum laude graduate of Union College with a bachelor’s degree in English.
Her career began in 1982 with Brookfield’s predecessor company, Olympia & York. Her initial work there was in the construction division. In 1986, she was appointed to run the firm’s construction company. In her tenure with the company, Sabrina has played a key role in the construction, design, and development or redevelopment of over 40 million square feet of signature Brookfield projects such as World Financial Center, Brookfield Place, 300 Madison Avenue, Bay Adelaide Centre, the restoration/renovation of the Winter Garden at World Financial Center after 9/11, and currently Manhattan West.
She is a member of WX and sits on the boards of directors of the New York Building Congress, where she serves as treasurer, the Salvadori Center, which she chairs, the Opus Group, the Regional Plan Association, Urban Green Council, and Cedar Realty Trust. She also sits on the Board of Trustees of The National Building Museum and The Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation.
