Ronald J. Gafford
Ronald J. (Ron) Gafford is retired chairman, president, and CEO of Austin Industries. Ron holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction from Texas A&M University and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard School of Business. Prior to joining Austin Industries, Ron was a development and construction partner with Trammell Crow Company and a project manager with the Henry C. Beck Company.
He is active in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the World Project Organization, CIRT, Texas A&M University, and Austin College. Ron is a leader in over three dozen civic and institutional organizations and currently holds several board positions, including with the Dallas Symphony Association, the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce, Trinity Industries, and Interfaith Housing Coalition Foundation.
Ron and Rebecca have two children and one grandchild. Ron grew up in Texas, where his father was a general contractor.
