Kaiser

Rick Kaiser is president, Special Projects Corporation, for Black & Veatch in Overland Park, KS. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University and a master’s in engineering management from the University of Missouri-Rolla. During his 33-year distinguished military career, he achieved the rank of major general and served as chief operating officer, second in command, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. At USACE Headquarters, his careful management and innovative solutions resulted in successful completion of significant military construction and civil works improvements. With Black & Veatch since 2020, he is known for his attention to detail and thoughtful work with local, state, and federal partners in the firm’s important Federal work. He is a skilled professional in flood control planning, structures and systems, operational planning, and in many other associated areas. Rick also has been active in his local community, serving in numerous civic organizations. His professionalism and empathy are notable for his work with others in the military, in the private sector, and in his community.
