Marjorie Perry
Marjorie Perry is president, CEO, and owner of MZM Construction and Management in Newark, NJ. She holds a degree in education from Kean College of New Jersey and construction management and MBA degrees from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School and the Dartmouth Business School executive management program. Her full-service construction management and transportation company serves a wide range of clients. Fortune magazine recognized her company in its “100 Fastest Growing Inner City Companies” listing in 2018. Marjorie has over 30 years of experience in every aspect of entrepreneurial and consultant work. Her firm has been involved in such major projects as Met Life Stadium, Newark Airport Terminal A, Beth Israel Hospital, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey capital program. She is a role model for all women of color who enter the design and construction industry. An adjunct professor at NJIT, she currently chairs the NJIT Board of Overseers. In 2012, she was inducted into the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame.
