Michael Kenig
Mike Kenig is vice chairman of Holder Construction Company in Atlanta, GA. He earned a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering and management from Purdue University. He is actively involved on workforce development issues, inspiring young people to consider a career in the construction craft trades.
Toward that end, he is involved with the Trade Five advisory council, formerly Go Build Georgia. He also is a strong advocate for the use of alternative project delivery systems. He is the author of the textbook, Project Delivery Systems for Building Construction, 3rd Edition, published by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). He also has written several sections of the Georgia State Construction Manual. His leadership efforts include work with a variety of councils, including AtlantaRise, Metro Atlanta Chamber Educated Workforce Council, the Atlanta College & Career Academy, and WorkSource Atlanta.
Mike also has worked with the Construction Owners Association of America (COAA), the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT), the AGC, and the General Services Administration. Both COAA and the AGC recognized him as Member of the Year for his outstanding efforts and leadership.
