Michael S. Zetlin is a founding partner of Zetlin & De Chiara, LLP. He holds a BSc degree in engineering from Columbia University and a JD from the Fordham University School of Law. His knowledge of construction, design, and project management make him a formidable advocate as he represents national and multi-national firms and premier owners, developers, design professionals, and contractors in the U.S.
Michael is an adjunct professor at Columbia University, co-editor of New York Construction Law, a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation, and serves as general counsel to the New York Building Congress and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), New York City. He is a member of the Columbia University Industry Advisory Committee of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics and of the board of trustees at Pratt Institute. He was named New York Construction Lawyer of the Year (2011), and is the recipient of the Harry B. Rutkins Award for Service to the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Michael and Gerri, who met in law school, have three children: a law student son, another son who works in the Philippines, and a daughter at the University of Virginia.
