Michael K. Loose
Michael K. (Mike) Loose is retired. Previously, he served as the Corporate Operations Officer for the Parsons Corporation and before that, he served as a Senior Vice President at Parsons and oversaw Parsons’ global infrastructure and environmental services for federal government clients. He holds a BSCE from the University of Kansas and a MSCE from the University of Washington.
During his distinguished career in the U.S. Navy, his final assignment was as Chief of Naval Operations for Fleet Readiness and Logistics, responsible for the programming of an annual $32 billion budget for all Navy logistics, including maintenance and operation of all ships, submarines, aircraft, and shore infrastructure. He is the only Navy Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) Officer to be promoted to Vice Admiral since World War II.
Mike developed the Navy’s comprehensive shore investment strategy for 70,000 facilities, which encompassed the implementation of three- to five-year strategic plans at all levels.
He is the recipient of the University of Kansas Distinguished Engineering Service Award and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Henry L. Michel Award for Industry Advancement of Research and the OPAL Award for Management.
He and his wife, Carol, have one son.
