Melissa Herkt
Melissa Herkt is retired president and COO of the Plant Web Solutions Group at Emerson Process Management. She graduated with honors from Auburn University.
At Emerson, she was responsible for work in six different industries with $900 million in annual revenue, overseeing 4,000 employees in 21 countries. She previously worked for Exxon, Hoffman-LaRoche, and Glaxo Smith-Kline.
Melissa is active in several industry research organizations. She served as co-chair of the Construction Industry Institute (CII) research committee as well as served on the CII executive committee. She also has been an advisory board member in the University of Pittsburgh Engineering Sustainability Initiative as well as the Auburn University Alumni Council.
She was inducted into the State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame and is the recipient of the CII Outstanding Implementer Award.
