Mike Blount
Mike Blount is a senior vice president at AECOM. He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Florida and a master’s in environmental engineering from Georgia Tech. He has excelled in both military service and private industry. As a senior officer with the Navy Seabees, he used his experience to improve processes and mentor others.
At AECOM, and previously at Balfour Beatty, he has led efforts in partnering, contracting, facilities management, and business strategy. Since 2006, he has been an instructor at Norwich University in Northfield, VT, teaching various courses in the university’s master’s program. He received the Professor of the Year Award from the university. The U.S. Navy awarded him multiple Legion of Merit Awards for outstanding service. Mike (Capt., U.S. Navy, Ret.) is a past president and a Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers and was awarded the SAME President’s Medal for Exceptional Service. He also has served as the chair of the board of the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association.
