Louis J. Cabano
Louis J. (Lou) Cabano is founder and chairman, Pathfinder, LLC. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Drexel University. He has over 40 years of experience in planning and managing major process industry projects worldwide and has been engaged in multi-billion dollar upstream oil and gas projects in the Middle East, Asia, and South America. Lou is an internationally recognized authority on project execution planning, project management, capital investment cost and scheduling practices, contract strategies, and contract terms and conditions. He also is a recognized authority on the evaluation and development of highly effective and efficient capital project planning and delivery systems. He has assisted with the development of special analytical tools and methods to support these optimization studies.
He has presented seminars and workshops on teambuilding and benchmarking throughout the world. He has served as a project manager, a vice president, a chief project manager, and a division manager. Louis is the recipient of the Drexel College of Engineering Alumni Circle of Distinction Award, and has been honored with the Engineering and Construction Contracting (ECC) Achievement Award.
He is married to Helen, and they have three children and three grandchildren. He enjoys reading and writing.
