Manish D. Kothari
Manish Kothari is president and CEO of Sheladia Associates, Inc., an international architecture and engineering consulting firm based in Rockville, MD. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from India and master’s in civil engineering from the University of Michigan. He has over 30 years of varied engineering experience on transportation, bridges, highways, and building infrastructure projects involving design, construction management, and technical assistance in the U.S. and internationally. Prior to Sheladia, he worked with Bechtel Corporation as an engineering specialist and as vice president in Austria.
Manish is a member of FIDIC, an international standards organization for consulting engineering and construction. He is Chair of FIDIC's International Finance Committee and is a Member of their Risk, Liability and Quality Committee. He is chair emeritus and served as chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) 2018-2019, the oldest and largest business association of engineering companies. He also has served as vice chair on the ACEC executive committee, 2014-2016 . He is a commissioner for the Maryland Economic Development Commission and a member of the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Services and Finance Industries (ITAC - 10) with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Office of United States Trade Representative. He is a recipient of the 2015 World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) Maryland International Business Leadership Award.
