Kenneth E. Stinson
Kenneth E. (Ken) Stinson has worked for various Kiewit companies since 1970, and currently holds the title of chairman of Peter Kiewit Sons’, Inc., the seventh largest general contracting company in the U.S. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Notre Dame and a master’s in civil engineering from Stanford. He has worked closely on many major projects, including the Ft. McHenry Tube Tunnel in Baltimore Harbor.
In 1999, he was elected chairman of the Construction Industry Round Table, and in 2002, received the Golden Beaver Award for Management. His professional activities include participation with groups including The Moles, the Beavers, the Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Design-Build Institute of America, the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and many affiliations with academia.
Ken and Ann have six children who are located coast-to-coast. An avid golfer, Ken belongs to clubs in both Omaha, NE, and Santa Barbara, CA.
