J. Doug Pruitt
J. Doug Pruitt is the past chair and CEO of Sundt. He has an AS degree in construction engineering from Oklahoma State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. He also has completed the Stanford Executive Program.
Doug joined the family of Sundt Companies in 1966. He retired as chair and CEO after 42 years with the company. He has been responsible for many technical innovations and has written articles on concrete slip-forming as well as management advancements in total quality management and partnering. He has been active professionally in the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) and NCCER, and currently is chair of the Construction Industry Round Table. He served as president of Arizona State University’s Del E. Webb School of Construction Industry Advisory Council for over 15 years. Doug has also been active in community affairs, serving as director of six Phoenix area civic organizations, including service as chair of the chamber of commerce.
He and Becky, his wife of 37 years, have a son and daughter and one grandchild. In addition to their home in Phoenix, they enjoy a cabin in Minnesota and a variety of kayaking, boating, and golf activities.
