Jane C. Penny
Jane C. Penny is AECOM group chief executive for national governments. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois. She has more than 30 years of experience in planning, designing, managing, and constructing major civil engineering, environmental, and infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining AECOM, she served as regional operations manager for Dynamac Corporation and was a senior environmental engineer for the U.S. Air Force, where she was responsible for the oversight of regulatory compliance for all 16 Air Force installations in the southeastern U.S. She received the Thomas D. White Environmental Award from the U.S. Air Force, the Tyco Chairman’s Award twice, and the AECOM CEO Award.
She is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Academy of Fellows, previously served as SAME president and chairman of its National Board of Direction, and is the recipient of the SAME President’s Medal. In 2015, she was bestowed the James H. Lucas Emeritus Chair, and previously honored with the Outstanding Young Engineer Award, both by the SAME Atlanta Post.
A Professional Engineer in Illinois and Georgia, she is married to Michael. The couple has a daughter, two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson.
