Hugh L. Rice
Hugh L. Rice III is senior chairman of FMI Corporation. He earned an electrical engineering degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of North Carolina prior to joining Fails Management, now FMI Corporation. He has been published extensively and is a keynote speaker of note at many construction industry functions.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of several E&C firms and has been an active member of the AGC of America, The Moles (past Trustee), and the Beavers (past Director). He was awarded the Golden Beaver Award in 2005. In 2013, Hugh was given the James H. Maloney Service & Supply Lifetime Achievement Award from the AGC of America. He is involved with several philanthropic organizations.
Hugh and Mary have two children, a son and a daughter. His hobbies include travel, biking, winter sports, and reading. He is a student of and maintains an active interest in the engineering and construction industry and its future.
