Henry E. Adams
Henry E. (Hank) Adams is executive vice president, Peter Kiewit Sons’ Company. He holds an AAS degree in applied science from State University of New York, Delhi, and a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from Fairleigh Dickenson University. He began his career at Peter Kiewit and Sons Company as a field engineer in 1979. Today, he serves on the executive committee of its board of directors. Many successful major projects in New York and New Jersey reflect his disciplined commitment to excellence, innovative project delivery, and public-private financing. During his 37-year career with the firm, he has personally led Kiewit’s participation in numerous marquee projects, including the Queens Borough Bridge reconstruction and the $600 million reconstruction of the Willis Avenue Bridge.
He is a past president of the Construction Institute as well as The Moles, and has served in numerous leadership capacities with the New Jersey Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) and the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from SUNY-Delhi in 2012 and has served on the industry board of the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech.
He is married to Beth, and they have four daughters and seven grandchildren.
