Harris, Jr.

Henry M. (Hank) Harris, Jr., is chairman of FMI Corporation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Richmond and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

He is responsible for the management and governance of the FMI Board of Directors. He now consults in matters of organization, strategic planning, and the execution of strategic plans through mergers and acquisitions. His background with regional building, real estate, and development organizations provides him with a practical approach, while his extensive activities in management education and consulting provide him with an objective viewpoint. He is widely sought as a speaker on industry topics. He also has written three books on strategic planning and creating long-term value within industry firms, and has published an extensive array of articles on managerial topics. He is a certified management consultant and a member of the American Arbitration Association and the Consulting Constructors Council of America. Hank stays active in industry associations and serves on the boards of directors and advisory boards for several major companies and associations.

He and his wife, Elizabeth, live near Wrightsville Beach, NC, have six children between them, and enjoy swimming and scuba diving.
