Handley

Mark A. Handley is a senior vice president at AECOM and the National Accounts Leader for Federal Programs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University and a master’s in civil engineering/construction management from Stanford University.

At AECOM, he supports over $1 billion annually in design and construction services and continuously implements innovative construction methods and technologies. He had a distinguished 32-year career in the Navy, retiring as a Rear Admiral in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps. Mark held executive leadership positions in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC); Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), U.S. Navy Seabees; and the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.

He is a Professional Engineer and a Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). He is currently serving as the president-elect for SAME. Mark received the Navy Distinguished Service Medal, the highest Navy peacetime award, for meritorious service as Commander, First Naval Construction Division. He also was awarded three Legion of Merit Medals as well as a Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone. He is the recipient of the 2016 St. Thomas of Villanova Alumni Medal.
