G. Wayne Burchette
G. Wayne Burchette is the former director, Worldwide Engineering and Construction, Eastman Chemical Company. Wayne served in various engineering, management, and executive positions during his 38-year career at Eastman. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s in engineering administration from the University of Tennessee.
After his stellar career at Eastman, Wayne joined CH2MHILL in 2008 and served as project director for an $800 million polysilicon plant being built by the Qatar Foundation in Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar. He led the effort from planning the early engineering to production of the output, ensuring quality was attained throughout. He advised the Qatar Foundation on its contracts with engineering, procurement, and construction providers in addition to their technology providers.
He and his wife, Ruth, celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2016. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. Wayne loves playing golf and spending time with the grandchildren.
