Glenn O. Steiger
Glenn Steiger is the executive consultant for the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA). He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s in engineering management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. At NTUA, he provides professional oversight to its major generation, power supply, and transmission initiatives. Since 2017, Glenn has developed, constructed, and operated over 400MW of solar generation on the Navajo Nation, the first and largest tribally owned source of renewable generation.
He previously has led municipal power and water agencies in California and Massachusetts and been instrumental in helping utilities integrate ground-breaking smart grid energy and water control automation. He also has consulted with utilities in Australia, Brazil, Thailand, China, numerous European countries, and in the Southwest U.S. He has been honored many times for excellence in smart grid deployment. His many public service positions have included president of the Southern California Public Power Authority, board member of Western Electric Coordinating Council, and chair of the California League of Cities and California Municipal Utilities Association water committees. Glenn is a licensed Professional Engineer.
