Gregory R. Gidez
Greg Gidez is corporate director of design services for Hensel Phelps. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rutgers University and a master’s in architecture from the University of Colorado-Denver. As the firm’s senior design professional, Greg oversees Hensel Phelps’ corporate design services including procurement, design-build, design-assist, and design management.
He served as the 2011 chair of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) Board of Directors, where he started the DBIA Design Excellence awards program. In 2022, DBIA honored him with its highest honor, the Brunelleschi Lifetime Leadership Award, in recognition of his contributions to the industry. He also served as the 2015 chair and a board member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Project Delivery Knowledge Community, where he founded its annual Project Delivery Symposium. He currently serves on the Charles Pankow Foundation Board of Directors and on the BIM Forum Board of Directors, promoting advancement and integration of technology in the studio and at the jobsite. Greg is a Fellow of the AIA and a licensed Architect.
