Frank J. Sciame Jr.
Frank J. Sciame, Jr., is chairman and CEO of Sciame Construction Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the City College of New York. Frank established the company in 1975, followed by the founding of Sciame Development in 1996. His work is particularly well known in New York City, where he often is referred to as the builder of choice. Projects include some of the most notable landmarks in New York City, including the Morgan Library, the New Victory Theatre, the New York Public Library’s Main Branch, and the Central Synagogue restorations.
He has given back to multiple charitable, civic, and professional organizations. For his dedication to the preservation of New York City landmarks, he received the Pillar of New York Award from the Preservation League of New York State (2003) and the Chairman’s Award from the New York Landmarks Conservancy (1997). For his public service, he was presented with the Cardinal’s Committee for Charity Award by Edward Cardinal Egan.
Frank and Barbara have been married 39 years and have four children: Andrew, Alexandra, FJ, and Fionna. They also are proud grandparents of FJ’s and wife Michelle’s son, Frank John Sciame IV, better known as Jack.
