Eugene A. Lupia
Eugene A. (Gene) Lupia is a retired major general, U.S. Air Force, who now leads the CH2M Enterprise Delivery Excellence (EDE) Group. During his 32-year military career, he rose to become the top civil engineer of the Air Force. In the 1990s, he led the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE), which ranked as the premier entity for state-of-the-art technology implementation for environmental management and remediation.
Upon retirement from the Air Force in 2000, he joined CH2M and began as manager of the firm’s Environmental Services Business Group. He led teams and programs serving the full spectrum of U.S. and international clients in all sectors of the global economy. In 2010, he joined the company’s EDE Group, whose mission is to develop, maintain, and integrate best practices, processes, tools, and standards across the firm’s global platform.
Gene is a leader in developing environmental programs, both in the military and in the private sector. His initiatives and his technical leadership have made him one of the outstanding contributors to environmental excellence in the construction industry.
He has been married to Diane for over 45 years, and they have two sons.
