Eddy M. Rojas
Eddy M. Rojas is dean of engineering at the University of Dayton. A native of Costa Rica, he holds an undergraduate degree in civil engineering from the University of Costa Rica, and master’s and PhD degrees in civil engineering and a master’s in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
He served as graduate program coordinator at the University of Washington and as executive director of the construction research and education center there. Later, he was director of the school of architectural engineering and construction at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Eddy has led numerous research studies in construction engineering and management processes. He has authored more than 80 publications and is the editor of two books on construction productivity and project management. He has served as reviewer for the National Science Foundation, specialty editor for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, and consultant to the National Electrical Contractors Association and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association.
Among his many honors, he was recognized by the University of Washington for research, scholarship, and service. In 2011, he was awarded the prestigious Thomas Fitch Rowland Prize by the ASCE. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Michigan.
