B.E. (Eddie) Stewart, Jr.
Eddie Stewart is president and CEO of Caddell Construction Company in Montgomery, AL. He holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction from Georgia Tech and completed the executive program in the Darden Graduate School, University of Virginia. He has worked at Caddell since its founding in 1983, beginning as an estimator and serving in various capacities of increasing responsibility, including executive vice president and COO.
Eddie also is the current president of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). He is an outstanding leader who is dedicated to his company, his employees, and the industry. He is recognized as an international expert in construction as well as a successful leader of complex projects for the federal government. His project portfolio includes embassies, courthouses, barracks, airports, power plants, and military family housing. His involvement in AGC is prolific, and he has served on numerous committees, including chairing AGC’s committee that interfaces with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC). He also has chaired the AGC Federal & Heavy Division and served on the national executive board.
