David Arditi
David Arditi is professor of civil and architectural engineering and founder and director of the Construction Engineering and Management Program at Illinois Institute of Technology. He holds bachelor's and master’s degrees from Middle East Technical University (Türkiye) and a doctorate from Loughborough University (UK). David established the Burton and Erma Lewis Construction Engineering and Management Laboratory in 1995 and the Trimble Technology Laboratory in 2022 at Illinois Tech.
His research interests lie in almost all aspects of construction management, engineering, and support. He has published close to 400 refereed journal and conference papers with his research students. His former research students have distinguished careers in academia, government, and industry located in over 20 countries.
David serves on the editorial board of 13 research journals. He is the editor-in-chief of Buildings and the associate editor of the International Journal of Project Organization and Management. He is a member of ASCE and was elected to the College of Fellows of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) in 2013.
