Darrell E. Waters
Darrell E. Waters is vice president, Walsh Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in civil engineering/construction management from Stanford University.
He has over 40 years of experience, both domestically as well as internationally, and has successfully completed numerous complex projects in the commercial, industrial, process, transportation, and heavy civil sectors. He currently is leading Fluor’s team for two of the newest nuclear power projects to be constructed in the U.S. Previously, he was president of Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC, a consortium specifically assembled to execute the $3.9 billion replacement of the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York, NY.
He has extensive experience in rail transit, having executed major projects at the World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York and light rail commuter projects in Los Angeles and Denver. In his career with Fluor, Darrell has held nearly every management position in project and construction management while spanning the spectrum of projects and geographies served by Fluor. He delivered the prestigious Vecellio Distinguished Lecture at Virginia Tech in 2015.
Darrell and Jenene have two grown sons. Darrell enjoys boating, drag racing, and motorcycles.
