Daniel R. Tishman
Daniel R. Tishman has served as vice chairman and is a member of the board of directors of AECOM, the parent company of Tishman Construction since 2010. His company managed the construction of 4 Times Square, the first green skyscraper in New York City, and 7 World Trade Center, the first office tower in New York to be certified with the green building rating system, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
Daniel actively participates in and has made contributions to many charitable, civic, and industry organizations. He has served on boards such as the Real Estate Board of New York, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the UJA Federation of New York. He also is the recipient of numerous awards, including the LaGuardia Award from the New School; the NYC Tourism Award from NYC & Company; and the New York Building Congress Leadership Award.
He was appointed to the New York City Sustainability Board by Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2006. The Metropolitan Museum of Art honored him in 2010 for his outstanding career and civic involvement. Daniel is a past chair and is now chair emeritus and a trustee of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), one of the world’s leading environmental advocacy organizations.
