Christine A. Merdon
Christine Merdon is president of Merdon Strategies, LLC. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Maryland. Her recent return to McKissack & McKissack brings her back to where she oversaw program and construction management of more than $15 billion for the Washington Nationals MLB Stadium, the O’Hare Airport Modernization Program, the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson Memorial Renovations.
She briefly left the firm to serve as Acting Architect of the Capitol (AOC) and looks forward to her new role as COO. Christine is the recipient of the 2016 D.C. Professional Engineer of the Year Award. She also is an award-winning member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and of the Society of American Military Engineers. She is the past president of the National Capital Region ACE Mentor Program and serves on the Board of Visitors for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland.
