Charles L. Harrington
Charles L. Harrington is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Parsons Corporation, a 15,000 employee, $3 billion global engineering firm based in Pasadena, CA. He graduated magna cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and earned an MBA (with honors) at UCLA.
Chuck joined Parsons in 1982 and worked on a variety of international projects from Saudi Arabia to the North Slope of Alaska. In 1991, he assumed responsibility for sales to federal government organizations in the southeastern U.S., and later became program manager for a multi-billion project at the DOE Savannah River Site. After serving as Parsons Executive Vice President, CFO, and Treasurer, he became the company’s Chair and CEO in 2008 and President in 2009.
Highly active in industry and community activities, he has served with many groups, including the Cal Poly SLO Foundation Board of Directors, the Board of the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center Board of Trustees, the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, the Los Angeles Sports Council, and the Pratt School of Engineering, Duke University. In 2015, he received the Industry Recognition Award from the NY Building Congress.
