Cheryl McKissack Daniel
Cheryl McKissack Daniel is president and CEO of McKissack & McKissack, the oldest minority and woman-owned design and construction firm in the nation. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Howard University. The company was founded in 1905 by her grandfather. Her 30 years of experience cover all phases of the design and construction industry. Sectors she is involved in include infrastructure, transit, healthcare, and education.
A strong advocate for diversity, she has been a leader in continuing the firm’s reputation for long-lasting relationships. Notable McKissack & McKissack projects involve some of New York’s largest projects: the New Terminal One at JFK International Airport; the LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal Building Redevelopment; and the NYC Economic Development Corporation Hunts Point Cooperative Market, Fulton Fish Market, and MART125 Cultural Center. She chairs the NY Building Foundation and is a member of the national board of the ACE Mentor organization and the NY Building Congress Board of Directors.
